Position Available: Offshore Auditor
Location: Remote; Sri Lanka
Hours: Full-time - 5:30am - 1:30pm, IST Colombo time

What You’ll Be Doing:

As an Offshore Auditor, you’ll support audit engagements by delivering work accurately and on time, reviewing and preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with Australian standards. You’ll identify risks and control gaps, collaborate with onshore and offshore teams, and contribute to improving audit processes and efficiency.

Your main responsibilities:

• Audit Execution & Delivery: Support audit engagements across a portfolio of clients by progressing tasks in line with agreed timelines, Respond to onshore team queries and assist in resolving audit-related issues, Ensure audit work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with standards.
• Financial Reporting & Documentation: Review financial reports and audit documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, Prepare General Purpose (RDR and Non-RDR) and Special Purpose Financial Reports in accordance with Australian requirements, Maintain high-quality audit workpapers and supporting documentation
• Risk Assessment & Controls: Identify control weaknesses and audit findings, Provide clear observations and practical recommendations, Apply professional scepticism to assess risks and challenge assumptions
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with onshore Partners, Managers, and senior stakeholders, Collaborate effectively with offshore and onshore teams to ensure smooth audit delivery
• Process Improvement & Efficiency: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the audit function, Support enhancements to audit processes, workflows, and delivery models

What your profile will look like:

• Must have - Minimum 3+ years experience: Demonstrable experience as an Auditor
• Must Have -  Experience supporting audit engagements in an internal delivery or offshore capacity
• Must have - Strong communication skills: Fluent written & oral English skills.
• Must have - Australian client experience: Experience working in bookkeeping for Australian companies or clients, is a must.
• Must have -Degree in Finance or Accounting and Qualified in CIMA, CMA, ACCA, or CA
• Must have - Demonstrated professional scepticism with the ability to critically assess information, identify risks, and challenge assumptions appropriately
• Preferred - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with CaseWare
